Christopher Layer & Jordan Harms — that’s us. We grew up together and, for many years, have shared a deep love for all things “film”; be it TV shows, movies, YouTube videos, or even advertisements. As far back as middle school, we began making our own little films together, clumsily creating stop-motion animated features with action figures. But no matter how interchangeable we became, the baseline was clear: Chris is the better writer, and Jordan is the better director, and together we made an epic team. Finding our calling, we honed our skills, increased our education, and expanded our experience. Now, after some formative and experiential years, we have come together and started a business: Big Forest Video.

Born in December of 2017, the company was actually founded by more than just the two of us. Isaac White, Andrew Baker, and Jacob Krato were instrumental in getting this business off the ground. Though no longer in the company, a strong friendship still endures among the five of us, and we are ever more grateful for their contribution.

Now, 'Big Forest' has come to fruition, with a strong vision and aspirations to match. And it's no accident that we planted ourselves in the heart of St. Charles. We have a deep love for this city, and for the entire state of Missouri. We love the land, sure, but we especially care about the people - the business owners whom we affectionately call our neighbors. We see great beauty in this place, and our presence in the area is one of both dedication and fondness.

 

Our aim is to be artists and to use our passion for storytelling to create memorable projects that stand the test of time. We desire to tell the fascinating tales yet untold; the ones with heart and beauty. We want to help you tell your narrative through either video or podcasting, and we are devoted to producing high-end, unforgettable content as a result.
